Delete your account
Your reading is yours, and so is the decision to take it back. There are two ways to ask, and both do the same thing.
From inside the app
- Open Seriesly and go to Profile.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. The app shows you the date your account will be erased.
By asking us
Email help@serieslybooks.com from the address your account uses, and say you want it deleted. We will confirm and give you the same date.
What happens next
Nothing is erased immediately. Your account is scheduled for deletion seven days after you ask, and you can change your mind at any point in that window — the app shows the date and a way back for as long as there is one.
When the seven days are up we erase:
- your library and your to-be-read list
- your ratings, notes and reading sessions
- your usage records, including the analytics exports derived from them
- any images you uploaded that are still held
- your account itself, and the email address on it
Catalogue records — books, series and publication dates — are not deleted. They are not about you, and they are what everybody else's shelves are built from.
Before you go
You can export everything first, from Profile in the app. The export contains your data and nobody else's, and it is worth doing before you ask rather than after.
If you subscribe, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — that is held by Apple or Google, and you cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
